The President is the key voice for students, representing their views and interests at the University, in the local community, and on a national level. You'll also proudly represent and promote DCUSU and Dublin City University students within the student movement and with other important partner organizations. When it comes to shaping the future of the Union, the President will work closely with members to gather input and guide the Union’s strategy. You'll act as the main point of contact for students, ensuring clear communication and fair representation across all campuses.

The Wellbeing Lead plays a key role in supporting students' physical, mental, and sexual health. You'll lead engaging awareness campaigns to promote all aspects of student wellbeing, working closely with the University and other organizations whenever needed. You'll represent students at important University meetings and with external groups, always focusing on enhancing student wellbeing. Most importantly, you'll help foster a culture of positivity and care, ensuring that health and wellbeing remain a priority for everyone in the DCU community

The Academic Lead will be the go-to person for all things academic, providing leadership and representing students on educational matters. You'll champion work-based learning opportunities, including placements and Erasmus programs, and work on campaigns that focus on improving the academic experience. By collaborating with external organisations, you'll help shape policies that benefit students. Supporting student employability and skills development is a key part of your role, as well as ensuring the student representative system continues to thrive. You'll work closely with Faculty and Class Representatives to gather feedback and make sure student voices are heard loud and clear, helping to create a better academic experience for everyone.

The Diversity and Inclusion Lead is the champion for promoting diversity and ensuring everyone in our University and local community feels included and valued. You'll represent all non-traditional students, such as access students, mature students, HEAR/DARE students, parents, commuter students, international students, postgraduates, and part-time learners. Their role also involves advocating for and raising awareness of various student groups' unique needs and experiences, including LGBT+ students, those in Direct Provision, ethnic minorities, disabled students, women, human rights advocates, and students of all faiths. A key focus of your work is ensuring the Union is truly inclusive and supportive, especially for disadvantaged or marginalised students. By fostering a culture of equality and opportunity, you'll help create a campus where every student can thrive and feel at home.

The Community and Citizenship Lead is all about connecting students with their community and making a positive impact beyond the classroom. You'll lead the way in promoting co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities, like leadership programs, volunteering, and personal development, both on campus and in the wider community. Their role also includes looking out for students by addressing important issues like housing, sustainability, transport and road safety. You'll work to strengthen relationships between students and the community, building strong partnerships and representing student voices in local forums and groups. On top of that, you'll encourage more students to get involved in Union activities, fostering a sense of belonging and active citizenship. With your leadership, students will feel empowered to contribute to and thrive in their communities.
